Events

Our events bring together research, lived experience, and campaigning to advance gender equality in the UK. From policy briefings and panel discussions to public talks and member events, we create spaces to learn, debate and organise for change.

We host both online and in-person events, often in partnership with other organisations and experts. Some events are open to all, while others are exclusive to Fawcett members.

AI and Gender Equality Roundtable: Bringing the conversation to Parliament

The Fawcett Society is convening an invite only policy roundtable at the House of Lords to bring together policymakers, researchers and practitioners to discuss the findings of our white paper report and the wider implications of artificial intelligence for gender equality.

The roundtable will bring together parliamentarians, cross-party peers, AI and technology experts, regulators, and women’s organisations to examine how emerging technologies may affect women’s economic opportunities and wider life outcomes.

The discussion will focus on the policy recommendations set out in the report and explore what practical steps government, regulators and organisations can take to ensure that artificial intelligence supports equality rather than reinforcing existing inequalities.

This event is being delivered with the support of the Misogyny and AI Network, who are assisting with the convening and organisation of the roundtable.
